Céh-ipartestület-szövetkezet

Absztrakt

Az endrődi lábbelikészítő ipart meghatározó tényezők: a.) a lábbelikészítő ipar szervezeti formái (céh-ipartársulat-ipartestület-szövetkezet-kisvállalkozás) b.) a lábbelikészítő ipar utánpótlásképzése (szakmai képzés) c.) a kisiparosok társadalma, ezen belül a lábbelikészítőké d.) a munkatér megváltozása e.) a kereskedelmi formák sokrétűsége és változásai f.) a csizmadia mesterség újraéledésének lehetőségei és problémái Az endrődi lábbelikészítőket, s ezen belül a csizmadiákat szoros szálak fűzték falujuk paraszti társadalmához. A szakmai házassági endogámia befolyásolta a lábbelikészítő műhely munkaszervezését, ezen belül elsősorban a cipőkészítőkét. A női munkaerő alkalmazása a cipész iparban egyre nagyobb hangsúlyt kapott, mely a szocialista szövetkezet időszakában túlsúlyba került. A dinasztikus lábbelikészítő családoknál a szakmai házassági endogámia általánossá vált, melynek elsősorban gazdasági előnyei voltak. Az ipar szervezeti formáinak felépítését a céhes időszakban kialakult formák jellemezték a XX. század közepéig, amikor a termék-előállítás rendszere megváltozott, illetve a szervezeti forma modernizálódott a szövetkezetek megalakulásával. A szakmai képzésben ugyancsak uralkodóak voltak a céhes hagyományok, melynek legfőbb oka a termék-előállítási technológia konzerválásában kereshető. A lábbelikészítő ipart Endrődön a csizmadia és cipész szakmák képezték. A két szakma fejlődési mutatóit egymás mellé állítva, láthatjuk a cipőipar ugrásszerű emelkedését a XX. században. A munkaszervezeti formák megváltozásával a XX. század közepétől kikerült a lábbelikészítők tevékenységi köréből a kereskedelem. A szocialista szövetkezetben már önálló ágazattá vált a lábbelik kereskedelme, ez részben a kisvállalkozások időszakára is jellemző. A kereskedelem és termelés szoros kapcsolatának megfelelő kihasználását a tőkeerős kisvállalkozók felismerték és a lábbeli gyártáson kívül részt vesznek a cipőkereskedelemben is. A piacmozgás destruktív hatásainak a dinasztikus hagyományokon alapuló cipőipari kisvállalkozások képesek legeredményesebben ellenállni. A szakmai tudás és kisipari tapasztalat gyakran átsegítette őket a gazdaságilag nehéz időszakokon. A kisvállalkozói munkaszervezés hasonlít a szocialista ipar előtti kisipari idők munkaszervezésére. A régi céhes termelési mód miatt a szakma megszűnt az 1960-as években. The research of Hungarian handicraft industry has undertaken the tasks of revealing the archivalia and the overall survey of craft appliances. The great summaries examined and mapped the emergence of trade and its socio-economic background inside the Carpathian Basin. The research of handicraft and other rural crafts extended to the examination of the guild period and only few scientist dared to do research work concerning the crafts in the period of craft unions. The research of pottery may advance as a pioneer: its research stretches into the second half of the 20th century. The disclosure of other rural crafts is not given appropriate publicity. The deep analysis of footwear manufacturing small-scale industry – being the topic of my dissertation – is still to be commenced. My aim was not only to make up the deficiency concerning the past of footwear manufacturing in the chosen region (Gyomaendrőd), but to call attention to the importance of this craft – being an impressive craft in the period of the Middle Age and modern times – and motivating the launching of projects concerning the research of national footwear manufacturing. In my dissertation I present the process of footwear craft development through the example of Endrőd, following the craft from the beginning (guild period), through the times of craft unions and socialist associations leading up to the present state of shoe making industry at a small scale. I intended to enhance the insight of the lives of craftsmen, in which boot- and shoemakers, masters, journeymen and apprentices lived their everyday life. Their organisation of work preserved guild traditions till the mid-20th century. The system was changed by the verlag-production of marketing. The alteration in work organisation (modernisation) was not united, so the new and old form lived parallel side by side. The economic power of the workshops was determined by the amount of capital and the modernisations concerning the organisation of work. Factors influencing the footwear manufacturing crafts in Endrőd: • Forms of footwear manufacturing crafts (guild – craft union – craft association – association – small business) • Educating the new generations of footwear makers (professional, organised education) • The society of crafts, mostly that of footwear makers’ • Changes in working areas • Changes and manifoldness of marketing forms • The possibilities and problems of the boot-making craft’s revival Footwear makers of Endrőd including boot-makers were strongly connected to the peasant society of their village. The reason for this was not only the fact, that the inhabitants were the primary clientele, but the fact that they had a strong social attachment to the peasantry. The layering of craftsmen’s society was affected by the measure with which they could leave the social group they were originating from. Most of the craftsmen from the first generation returned to peasant way of life; besides, in the labelling of working areas the peasant designations were emphasised. The existence of double economy was continuous in the case of craftsmen of Endrőd. The poorer members of their society worked in agriculture and crafts in turns. Even the more affluent persons bought land and let it out. The professional endogamy influenced the organisation of work in the footwear manufacturing workshop, mainly that of shoemakers’. The employment of women labour force was more and more emphasised, moreover, in the period of socialist associations it prevailed. In the case of footwear manufacturing dynasties the professional endogamy became general, a process resulting in economic advantages. The structure of organisational forms concerning crafts was characterised by factors, originating from the guild period till the mid-20th century. At that time, the system of production changed, the organisation forms were modernised by the foundation of associations. In the professional education, guild traditions were dominant resulting from the preservation of production technology. Footwear manufacturing crafts were the boot- and shoemaking branches in Endrőd. Setting the development indicators of the two professions side by side the sudden rise of shoemaking can be perceived in the 20th century. The reasons for this are the following: • The modernisation of production technology • Following the trends in fashion • Emergence of wide social spectre of clientele • Employing the free capacity of woman labour force On the basis of examining the working areas it can be stated, that there were three different types of workshops in the settlement: • Workshop without workshop:, in which case the craftsman set up the worktop in a certain point of the dwelling room, changing the exact place following the changes in furnishing and light conditions. • Workshop, attached to the dwelling house or workshop created from the back room of the house (e. g. stable, pantry) • Workshop in an independent building The process of getting the ready finished article to the customer characterises the footwear trade. In the first period, the boot- and shoemaker was the one who sold the product. By the changes of organisational forms, from the mid-20th century, trade was not in the hands of craftsmen any more. In the socialist association, the marketing of footwear became an independent branch, a process still characteristic in the era of small business. The appropriate utilisation of the strong connection between marketing and production was recognised by the small business with strong capital, so they participated in shoe trade besides the footwear manufacturing. The shoe making small business, based on dynastic traditions can resist the destructive effects of market movements the most effectively. The professional knowledge and the experience from the craft often helped them through in difficult times. The work organisation concerning small business is similar to that of small scale crafts, from the era before the socialist associations. In many aspects the creation, organisation and marketing forms of small business workshops are the same as previous workshops from the small-scale craft period. The boot-making industry could not alter the mechanism of article production, so it did not become competitive. Due to the old production form from the guild period the profession disappeared in the 1960s. The craft seemed to disappear completely, but the demands of a newly emerging clientele woke boot making. The Marsi-workshop from Gyomaendrőd recognised the demands of the reviving clientele and renewed the craft. According to the new expectations they initiated technological modernisations, resulting in the birth of a new type of boot in Endrőd.
