Organ transplantation is becoming more and more common treatment for patients with organ failure. Thus, there is an increased chance for a dentist to encounter such a patient in the dental practice. This group of patients requires special care and treatment depending on the type of organ failure and the stage of the transplantation procedure. This thesis is aiming to highlight the importance of the modified dental care in the transplantation procedure and the necessity of consultation between the dentist and the physician to achieve a successful transplantation procedure.
