It is classified by the world health organisation as a grade IV glioma. It is indeed a very deadly tumor with an average life expectancy after diagnosis of about 14 months even after surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This review analyses the most recent therapy modalities as well as the ongoing clinical trials with new therapeutic options.
