This plate or frame filtration machine works on pressurized solutions that flow through forming a cake between the cloth and filter plates. The flow rate is the data we need to complete the research after calibrating both the flow rate and the pressure. the Filter medium resistance should be of same range throughout the whole process, it is validated. Calcium carbonate is used as a slurry on 10 filter plates to calculate the filtration constant and the filter cake resistance.
