Both teachers and parents are concerned about the advantages and disadvantages of modern technology in everyday life of their children or students. In my thesis I try to explore the side-effects of using computers on language efficiency, especially playing with videogames and other entertaining computer programs. I support my findings with the results of the survey which I had filled out with young people who had been playing computer games for years. Besides the results of the survey I rely on my own videogaming experience and my interview subject’s who has proficiency in IT field and also in language learning.
