One of those function is their involvement in a special subtype of asthma that is resistant to mainstay therapy. Targeting these eosinophils with monoclonal antibodies will help deal with these kind of asthma. These monoclonal antibodies apart from helping against these eosinophil asthma, will also help reduce the need for the mainstay treatment like corticosteroids which can come with side effects if used on a long-term basis. Ongoing research in this area is geared towards achieving this goal.27enEosinophilsAsthmaBiological therapyThe role of eosinophil cells in the pathogenesis of asthmaDEENK Témalista::Orvostudomány
