The history of virtual reality technology and some of its applications in the medical field, such as in treating medical conditions such as anxiety, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Alzheimer's disease, are first presented. The impact of Alzheimer's disease on society and some of the corresponding therapeutic directions, such as Drug and Non-drug interventions, are then presented, with details of Cognitive stimulation therapy in Non-drug interventions and Alzheimer's disease. The presentation will focus on Cognitive stimulation therapy in non-drug interventions and its application in treating Alzheimer's.
