It is a quite complex and divisive topic; however, it is not something that should be avoided discussing. It has a plethora of different dimensions, from religious and political to economic, ethical and cultural. One could say it is a true moral gray area. There have been many political decisions controlling, prohibiting, or legalizing abortion throughout the years in several countries. However, none of them has stirred that much attention than the decision of the United States Supreme Court in 2022 to overrule the Roe V. Wade court case and declare the state regulations of abortion unconstitutional. In my thesis, I would like to argue for the fact that it was a faulty decision that may cause a lot more damage to the country and the society than one would think. I would also like to examine different aspects of abortion and reproductive health, mainly the social, ethical, and medical sides, to get a better understanding of the effects of this ruling on women and to showcase the many aspects of this dilemma.41enabortionRoe V.
