An overview of the traditional methods of recovering lost oral tissue to the new, modern process of engineering tissues in the oro-facial complex will be reviewed. Different studies and clinical trials of materials – from the simple crystalline scaffolds to the more complex systems where growth factors and cells are delivered together with scaffold materials – will be discussed along with the current challenges in the field of tissue engineering. Since the field of tissue engineering is very broad, this work will focus on introducing the development of this area and provide a review from the scaffold materials to the complex multicomponent solutions.38entissue engineeringscaffoldbiomaterialsgene therapystem cellsgrowth factorsNew ways for tissue engineering in dentistryDEENK Témalista::Biológiai tudományok
