The aim of the thesis is to refute the charges of madness and tyranny by reviewing the aftermath of the Glorious Revolution (1688-89), the Bill of Rights(1689), the British Constitution and several theories regarding George's illness. The paper also concentrates on how the Seven Years' War (1756-1763) and the political crisis of the 1760s contributed to the American War of Independence (1775-83). Overall, the goal of the paper is to prove George III was only a misunderstood monarch instead of a "mad tyrant" who lost the colonies.33enGeorge IIISeven Years' War1760s"A Mad King or a Misunderstood Monarch?" - George III and the Road to the Loss of the American ColoniesdiplomamunkaDEENK Témalista::TörténelemtudományHozzáférhető a 2022 decemberi felsőoktatási törvénymódosítás értelmében.
