She presents the third generation of her family and a soon-to-be mother. Aim for my research was to investigate what factors and to what extent do the factors influence an inexperienced woman—drawing attention to the fact that although we can think about a certain topic in the same way along general truths, this process is different for everyone. Research showed the complexity of the maternal state; it is influenced by positive factors such as having a supportive partner, having the opportunity to care for our mental health, and being able to process our (inherited) traumas. On the other hand, the presence of negative components can also be found, like the inheritance of transgenerational trauma, childhood neglect and abuse, or lacking a parental model. I have discovered that a combination of these factors shapes the main character’s views, and this state is never one way or the other.45enmotherhoodchildhood neglecttraumaabuseThe Complexities of Motherhood: Understanding the Factors that Influence a Mother’s Perspective and Experience in Ashley Audrain’s The PushdiplomamunkaDEENK Témalista::Irodalomtudomány
