In connection with the research activity of the Chemical Glycobiology Research Group, three sugar-based ligand families were coordinated to Ru(II), Os(II), and Rh(III) metal centers using established complexation methods. Five new complexes were successfully prepared and purified, and their structures were confirmed by NMR spectroscopy. Two additional complexes were formed but could only be obtained as mixtures. This work expands the library of carbohydrate-metal conjugates and contributes to structure-activity relationship studies within medicinal inorganic chemistry. These complexes represent promising candidates for further biological evaluation, particularly regarding anticancer potential.35enHalf-sandwich metal complexesPlatinum-group metalsAcylhydrazinesMedicinal inorganic chemistrySugar-based coordination compoundsOrganometallic chemistryBioinorganic anticancer agentsSynthesis of new platinum-group metal half-sandwich complexes of N-(β-D-glucopyranosylcarbonyl)-N'-acylhydrazines as potential anticancer agentsChemistryHozzáférhető a 2022 decemberi felsőoktatási törvénymódosítás értelmében.
