Bemutatja az egyes erényekre adott definíciókat, összegyűjti és elemzi azokat a témához kapcsolódó exemplumokat, amelyek a Saturnaliában lelhetők fel, s ezek alapján rávilágít az újplatonista szerző erényfelfogásának sajátos, mélyen a római kultúrában gyökerező, de saját korának hatásaitól sem mentes jegyeire.The main theme of this dissertation is the appearance and role of cardinal virtues in Macrobius’ Saturnalia and Commentarii in Somnium Scipionis.
