Treatment of the diseases is split into two main phases: remission induction and maintenance. Previously, pharmacologic treatment mainly relied on the use of corticosteriods and other conventional immune-suppressants, but the drugs introduced a new set of side effects and challenges that needed to be managed. However, with continued research and trials, new drugs are continuously emerging that prove to be efficacious with less burden on the patients quality of life. This thesis was written to review the pathomechanism of the relevant types of vasculitis and the their treatments with a focus on the new and potentially breakthrough medications.47enInflammatory vascular diseasesVasculitisTreatmentModern treatments of inflammatory vascular diseasesMedicine::PharmacologyHozzáférhető a 2022 decemberi felsőoktatási törvénymódosítás értelmében.
