The medium voltage transformer is used for basic services to step down voltage power to a lower operating voltage for home and industrial use. The switchgear I selected for my design was planned with oversizing in case there is a short circuit current in the grid. My planned grid is designed to protect our power grid while giving electricity to our homes and industries which is safe for power consumption.
