The World Health Organization (WHO) has defined probiotics as “Live Bacteria which when administered in adequate amounts confer a health benefit on the host”. The main microorganism focused on is Gram-positive non-spore-forming rods, that are strictly fermentative bacterium of the genus Lactobacillus. This is because this bacterium is one of the most widely used microorganisms in probiotic mixes, and with an ability to produce lactic acid which makes them more applicable to areas such as in the food industry where they have been used for centuries. Probiotics have been demonstrated to provide various impacts on Human Health such as anti-pathogenic, anti-diabetic, anti-obesity, anti-allergic as well as effects on the brain and central nervous system. These properties will be explored and discussed in the Thesis.27enprobioticslactobacillushuman Healththe impact of probiotic lactobacilli on human healtha probiotikus lactobacillus hatása az emberi egészségreBiology::BiotechnologyBiologyHozzáférhető a 2022 decemberi felsőoktatási törvénymódosítás értelmében.
