The process of creating these shows and their aims are crucial to look into since these shows have been influential in shaping the audience's opinions about the characters. In the Kardashian shows one can see the everyday life of celebrities with all its ups and downs however, one can see a clear change between the shows discussed regarding the portrayal of the characters. Similarly, in Jury Duty, there is a significant emphasis on the main character. Therefore, this thesis focuses on how the portrayal of celebrities and ordinary people differ and how the concept of simulacrum can be used as part of this analysis.41enreality TVcelebritiessimulacrumPortraying Protagonists in Reality Shows: An Analysis of Jury Duty and the Kardashian FranchisediplomamunkaSocial Sciences::SociologyCulture SciencesHozzáférhető a 2022 decemberi felsőoktatási törvénymódosítás értelmében.
