Each year, more than 670,000 infections occur due to bacteria resistant to antibiotics in the European Union and approximately 33 000 people die as a direct consequence of these infections. Without taking action, antibiotic resistance (ABR) will lead to 10 million deaths globally and 390,000 deaths in Europe by 2050. The aim of this thesis to show the trends of ABR bacteria in the EU between 2010 and 2020. In my thesis, I used the Surveillance Atlas of Infectious Diseases by European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC)40enAntibiotic resistance in the member states of the European UnionANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE IN THE MEMBER STATES OF THE EUROPEAN UNIONAntibiotic resistance in the member states of the European Union
