Az ún. [továbbfejlesztett] tölcsér-módszer, mely német nyelvű, sejtbiológiai témájú tudományos ismeretterjesztő folyóiratok digitális kiadványainak elemzésén keresztül kerül kidolgozásra, majd német szövetségi ill. tartományi parlamenti felszólalások elemzése segítségével továbbfejlesztésre, képes részletes áttekintést adni egy bizonyos tárgyterület metaforikájáról, mégpedig statisztikailag reprezentatív szövegkorpuszokban fellelhető figuratív nyelvi kifejezések empirikus (és egyfajta kvantifikáción alapuló) elemzése formájában. Ennek következtében a módszer alkalmas az egyes tudományokon belüli és a tudományközi metaforikus konceptualizáció összefüggésrendszerének empirikus kutatására. // The present dissertation investigates the role of digital corpora in current research on metaphor. I propose a semi-automatic method of metaphor analysis in corpora, the so-called [improved] “funnel” method, which I tested on a German corpus consisting of popular scientific articles in cell biology and of transcripts of German (state-)parliament sittings.
