Tétel Korlátozottan hozzáférhető The Success and Failures of the Ninenteenth Century English and Hungarian Secondary Education(2013-02-19T09:30:37Z) Eisert, László; Csinády, Judit; DE--TEK--Bölcsészettudományi KarEngland and Hungary in the nineteenth century were two countries with two very different histories and more importantly two very different cultural backgrounds and political position in the world at the time, which also means that the developments of the education system of the two countries were very different. The aim of my thesis is to provide a comparison of the nineteenth century British and Hungarian secondary education – I chose secondary education because I find that it was a very defining sector of the education system of both countries at the time. I am doing this comparison with the purpose of highlighting the most important successes and failures of the nineteenth century English and Hungarian secondary education system and trying to determine which of the two education systems was more successful at meeting the social challenges of the century by giving an analytical comparison of the two education systems.
