The Cinematic Representation of Organized Crime Since the Prohibition Era
Absztrakt
Gangster films deal with important social and individual problems from the Prohibition era. Murder, corruption, madness and other criminal activities are part of these films. Through four movies this thesis analyzes three aspects of the gangster films: morality, the American Dream, and iconic characteristics, props of the gangster film genre.
