In this Thesis, I present a real-time system for animating facial expressions of 3D avatars, the system creates facial animations by tracking the facial expressions of the user in 2D and transferring them to a 3D avatar in real-time. I also present a method for generating virtually unlimitedartificial data set of 3D human faces which can be used for training facial landmarkingand face detection systems.
