Absztrakt

Neurodegenerative diseases (ND) such as alzheimer’s disease (AD), parkinson’s disease (PD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), huntington’s disease (HD), and multiple sclerosis (MS). All of these diseases have shared the same features. There are no effective therapies for them at the moment, and we can only alleviate the symptoms, which could vary from impairment of cognitive functions, memory, and movement functions. These neuropathological disorders can be diagnosed through the MRI and also PET scan, in each case, we can see the accumulation of abnormal proteins in the patient's CNS, This accumulation becomes toxic (oxidative stress and radicals) and causes irreversible degeneration of neurons.
