This thesis is intended to investigate the impact and benefits of the Cambridge English Young Learners Exams and their connection to the Helen Doron Early English Learning method. It is to present both the different types of Cambridge assessments for children and the Helen Doron learning method. These two are connected in a way that it is apparent that those young learners, aged 7-12, who learn with a special kind of method, eg. Helen Doron Early English in this case, may have a good amount of basic knowledge and skills to perform well on the exams. The exams are designed for children to test their English knowledge and it is a good way for them and their parents to see what level they are at. It is also important to understand what we mean by young learners. Young learners are those who learn English in elementary schools and study the language as their second or third language. There are many notions and factors to take into consideration when we talk about these children. Their motivation is also very important to talk about because there is always some kind of reason why one learns a foreign language. It is highly recommended to teach children from an early age and possibly get them to take these exams. It is designed to benefit and encourage them to learn more and more about the language.
