dc.description.abstractThe thesis explores the development of the acid house and rave subculture in Britain. The paper follows the early days of house culture, outlining the most significant figures and venues of the scene throughout its development. The paper also addresses the impact of ecstasy on people participating in the acid house movement. The thesis offers a brief overlook on subgenres evolving from acid house.
