This paper analyses the hydrological and morphological properties of the Toco stream. The study includes the classification of the Toco stream, flow velocity, regime classification of the stream and analysis of the sediment size distribution by using the dry sieving technique. The classification of the stream was carried out using the Rosgen classification method which requires the entrenchment ratio (ER), sinuosity, bed-slope and width-depth ratio (W/D) of the stream. From the morphological analysis, I concluded that the Toco stream belongs to the 'A6' class, where 'A' is the stream type and '6' is based on the bed material (silt-clay). The Toco stream was also characterised to have a mixed regime classification, the reason being that the Froude number calculated were both less than and greater than one. The sediment analysis reached the conclusion that some parts are poorly graded gravel while the rest are well-graded sand.hu_HU
