dc.description.abstractThis thesis delves into the impact of Resistive Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (R-SFCL) devices on electrical grids. It offers a thorough analysis of the functioning, features, and usage of R-SFCL in contemporary power systems. The study explores the effects of R-SFCL on different facets of the electrical grid, encompassing fault current alleviation, voltage control, transient stability, and power quality. The thesis includes a design for a resistive superconducotr current limitter. The influence of R-SFCL on AC grid is discussed.
