This research aims to determine University, Hungary professional pilot student’s sensitivity and reactions toward pareidolia images as a measure of the Human Performance factor. The study comprised a total of 86 participants, consisting of 22 females and 64 males. All participants completed the pareidolia test, which consisted of three types of stimuli: face images, face pareidolia images, and scramble images. The significant association between stress levels due to flight training and participants' perception of emotion in the face images suggests that stress may influence the interpretation and recognition of facial expressions. The increase of stress levels experienced due to flight training and faculty courses may affect individuals' ability to accurately perceive and interpret emotional clues in facial expressions, potentially impacting their decision-making abilities in high-pressure aviation contexts.
