| dc.description.abstract | Polyurethane is a versatile polymer used in various applications. This project focuses on synthesizing and characterizing sunflower oil-based polyurethane by polyaddition reaction between the hydroxyl groups (-OH) of Polytetrahydrofuran (PTHF), polyethylene glycol (PEG), epoxy oil, and the isocyanate groups (-NCO) of 1,6-hexamethylene isocyanates (HDI), in the presence of a tin(II)-2-ethyl hexanoate catalyst. The obtained polyurethane sheets were characterized by swelling test, tensile test, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). | |
