This thesis presents a development process for building a web project called Student Information Portal under the React environment. The Student Information Portal is provided to those international students who will arrive in a new country to begin their study and life there. The project will separated into two parts. The first part is static web pages for providing useful information while the second part is a real-time chat application for facilitating communication between students. To reach the goal, use React to build the front end and Firebase to support backend services. As a result, using multiple techniques in React such as hooks, states, and a bunch of back-end services in Firebase such as authentication, database, etc., proved that React makes the development processes fast by using pre-built components with customized functions and structures, at the same time, it is well compatible with the integration of those services from Firebase.
