In an ideal power system, faults must be eradicated from the system due to the designed protective measures and devices. Whereas in the real world, faults in a substation cannot be eliminated. However, they can be mitigated by improving substation the design, quality of the equipment, contingency plans, and maintenance strategies. In this paper, I proposed a design of a substation where I used fault current calculation and voltage level to determine the rating of the protective equipment to be used. I also applied configurations allowing for safe maintenance without injury and power interruptions.hu_HU
