The study creates an integrated plan to revitalise degraded urban and heritage areas in Wilayat Nizwa, Oman, based on analysing urban deterioration, environmental risks, and heritage opportunities. Using participatory design, it suggests reusing wadi paths, adapting traditional buildings, boosting the economy, and rehabilitating public spaces. The study finds that heritage revitalisation needs a balanced approach combining urban planning, conservation, and social-economic sustainability, offering a model relevant to Oman and the Gulf.
