dc.description.abstractThe thesis explores the potential of an e-commerce platform to support traditional attire, emphasizing its cultural preservation benefits. It identifies challenges faced by artisans, such as limited market exposure and inadequate support on mainstream platforms. The proposed solution is a specialized e-commerce platform built using the MERN stack to cater specifically to traditional garment sellers and buyers. This platform would incorporate storytelling, customization options, and better seller tools to enhance visibility and market reach. It aims to foster appreciation for cultural heritage while supporting sustainable practices and direct artisan-to-consumer connections. The project ultimately seeks to modernize the traditional attire market and bridge generational and geographical gaps.
