This thesis introduces and breaks down my movie web application that allows streaming and writing rewiews about films. In chapter 1 I explored the inconviences of existing movie discovery and streaming platforms, highlighting the need for a unifying solution. Having to switch between applications is inefficient in this digital entertainment era, leading to a waste of money and time. Chapter 2 details the development process of Watchd, including the use of Agile Scrum methodology for a structured work plan. Technologies like React, Firebase, and CSS libraries were employed to create a visually appealing and user-friendly interface. I integrated a database and authentication system and used APIs for an up-to-date movie selection. The application offers a smooth user experience, allowing effortless exploration, discovery, rating, reviewing, and list creation.The project aims to continuously improve and expand its capabilities based on user feedback.
