Cloning and production of transglutaminase 3 and transglutaminase 3/2 chimera recombinant proteins
Absztrakt
Coeliac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis are highly debilitating conditions for patients forcing them to follow a strict gluten-free diet. Since gluten ingestion is dangerous to their digestive system state and future health, the strict diet should prescribed based on a reliable diagnosis. Detection of coeliac disease specific TG2 autoantibodies from blood samples has already been applied for coeliac diagnosis, the goal was to develop TG3 and TG2/TG3core domain-containing chimera proteins to find potential improvements in these decision-making serologic tests when the skin and intestinal symptoms are combined or are not obvious.
