dc.description.abstract | In my study, superconducting components for electric protection have been identified for Turkey's electrical grid. These include superconducting fault current limiters (SFCL), superconducting circuit breakers, and superconducting insulated cables. The selection of superconducting materials for grid protection was based on critical temperature, critical current density, and magnetic field characteristics. High-temperature superconductor YBCO was preferred for the created protection. The design was thought to be flexible to accommodate future technological advancements and meet grid needs. | |
