dc.description.abstractThe aim of the thesis was to investigate the performance of an old agitated Thin film evaporator installed in the previous pilot plant of the chemical engineering department. The evaporator was to be converted to steam heating instead of thermostat heating. We wanted to determine the limiting parameters of its operation, such as the heat transfer surface, amount of steam or thermostat fluid, and the flowrate of the feed (solution to be concentrated)hu_HU
