Knowledge management is shown to be a key tool in determining the success of a business. Knowledge transfer is one of aspects involved in the knowledge sharing process and it involves sharing knowledge within an organisation. Knowledge transfer is understudied in developing countries like South Africa who have a relatively young knowledge economy. This thesis studied the familiarity of knowledge transfer in small enterprises in South Africa. Through the means of a survey, I determined their familiarity of knowledge management as well as their attitudes towards knowledge sharing activities.
