This thesis examines the efficiency challenges of vehicle‑integrated photovoltaic (VIPV) systems under real‑world conditions. It highlights the negative impact of elevated temperatures and dynamic irradiance on PV performance and durability. Active cooling methods and adaptive Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) are evaluated as complementary solutions. MATLAB simulations across diverse climates demonstrate how selective cooling and MPPT improve energy yield. The study emphasizes practical constraints such as packaging, aerodynamics, and net‑energy balance in automotive contexts. Overall, it concludes that climate‑aware, adaptive integration of cooling and MPPT is essential for reliable VIPV efficiency.
