Democracy Connect, an online voting platform designed to modernize the election process for the International Student Union at the University of Debrecen. Recognizing the limitations of traditional paper-based voting, this thesis aims to provide a secure, accessible, and user-friendly digital platform. It explores key aspects of the platform's design, including an intuitive user interface, data security through encryption methods, and enhanced visibility through search engine optimization. Research findings demonstrate a strong student preference for an online voting system due to its convenience, accessibility, and potential to increase voter turnout.
