The thesis approaches the Art Gallery Problem using geometric and graph theoretic tools. Initially, we discuss Fisk, Chvatal and Klee's approach to the problem and their contributions. We introduce comb structures and orthogonal polygons to highlight how the required guards changes with the structure of the polygon. We conclude by suggesting future applications in technology and fields for research especially in surveillance technology.
