Film Depot: Personal Movie Management Platform for Tracking and Viewing activity

Abstract

This thesis presents the development of a movie tracking web application designed to help users manage films they plan to watch and those they have completed. The system was created to address the challenge of organising large amounts of digital movie content. It uses a React front-end, a Node.js and Express back-end, and a cloud hosted PostgreSQL database for data storage. Users can create accounts, maintain a watchlist, and track completed movies. The application also integrates external APIs to provide up-to-date movie information. Overall, the system offers a simple and effective solution for personal movie management.
