My thesis is a study of pandemics and their impacts. we focused on what can be called a pandemic. then the origin of diseases and how it evolves till it becomes a pandemic. from where we get it so we can prevent it from happening. then focused on the current covid-19 pandemic and the impact it had on the health and socio-economic life of individuals. last but not least, we concentrated on the economic impact of it in both Hungary and the European Union. We explained the economy and its GDP growth rate. also, we explained and discussed deeper in the factors that affect the economy through the GDP such as unemployment, inflation rate and tourism. the differences period and during the first and second year confirm the huge influence that covid had in our lives and the economy of the EU and Hungary in specific .finally, we made an analysis comparison before and during the crisis on both a national and regional scale we used secondary data and we gathered public primary data too through two surveys one was made in the first year of the pandemic and the second was made at the end of the second year and there was a noticeable result on the impact that pandemic had and how did the successful countries handle it so others can follow their recommendations.
