Pharmaceuticals production is a well-regulated industry in which regulatory agencies control their national markets with efforts towards globally harmonized regulations. Thus, the implementation of modern technologies such as continuous manufacturing encountered regulatory concerns. The aim of my thesis is to demonstrate the basic structures and principles of regulatory agencies with special focus on the current trends and issues of the continuous manufacturing process in today’s pharmaceutical industry.
