In this research the paleofeces-derived yeast were analysed with a focus on the possibility of the occurence of other yeasts in the sample and putative introgressions. Coverage maps were plotted for pre-analysis which helped narrow down the species with unusually high coverage. These regions were further analysed using sequencing tools. The results confirmed the presence of other yeasts and putative introgressions in the sample. Most notably the results showed putative introgressions to S. cerevisiae from Kazachstania humilis and Zygosaccharomyces bailli.
