The features and capabilities of low-code technologies were analyzed. Starting with a brief history of the Low-Code movement and later on how it evolved. We discuss the advantages of Low-Code and compare it with No-Code. Throughout this thesis, a Low-Code development platform, the OutSystems Platform, was fully explained. OutSystems is a Low-Code Development Platform, founded in 2001 in Lisbon, Portugal, which allows the building of responsive and flexible apps in a very swift development lead time. OutSystems offers itself as a platform as a service (PasS) going further beyond enabling the RAD approach by including hosting, dynamic scaling, release automation, performance monitoring much more. The development tools and components of OutSystems were presented in a practical way. And a web app to help students review and add places they liked was created.
