dc.description.abstractThis thesis work is based on the change analysis of Lake Ferto for the year 2022 with the use of multiple spectral indices such as the Modified Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Normalized Difference Moisture Index (NDMI). There is the use of Remote Sensing and GIS tools and techniques including Landsat satellite images and GIS software such as QGIS. I made conclusions on the basis of the lake area and boundary changes for the year 2022, along with the water quality assessment and water turbidity. I also did the change analysis of the land (1 km) surrounding the lake including the vegetation cover, wetlands and moisture content in the vegetation.
