Iminosugars have played a significant role in various fields in recent years, owing to the presence of nitrogen in the ring. This investigation centers on iminosugar analogs, emphasizing their medicinal benefits. The thesis focuses on synthesizing new oxazepane derivatives from glucoside derivatives. The research begins with the preparation of glucoside derivatives, which are then reacted with different primary amines such as a biogenic amine (tryptamine), bifunctional amines namely ethylene diamine, propane-1,3-diamine, butane-1,4-diamine, and ethanolamine as amino alcohols to synthesize oxazepanes. Subsequent tests evaluate the potential of these oxazepanes in drug development.
