Element concentration of Trapa natans seed used for biomonitoring and human consumption

Abstract

The thesis measured element concentrations in Trapa natans seeds from six sampling sites at the Tisza River. The study also compared the element concentrations to the concentrations of metals in staple crops in Ghana. The study concluded that, the metal concentrations were below the safety limits of WHO (World Health Organisation)and the EU standards. compared with Ghanaian staple crops, the metal concentration of the metals in the Trapa natans seed were lower than the selected Ghanaian staple crops.
