Injuries to the soft tissues within the oral cavity commonly involve damage to the oral mucosa or occur at the transition points between the external and internal oral regions, such as the lips. In oral surgery, ensuring the prevention and proper management of soft tissue injuries during tooth extraction is pivotal. This requires careful attention and proficiency from dental professionals. These injuries can occur due to various factors including the extraction technique, anatomical factors, and individual patient or operator-related variables. Therefore, it's essential to effectively address and avoid these injuries to optimize patient outcomes and minimize post-surgery complications.
